What happens to your logo, what happens when you pay, and what is kept afterwards. In that order, because that is the order it happens in.

Your artwork
The logo you drop into the workshop is sent to our server, held in memory while the stitches are worked out, and gone when the answer is sent back. It is never written to a disk, a database or a cache, because none is attached to this service. We cannot show it to you again — and for the same reason we cannot show it to anybody else. Legal basis: performing the service you asked for, GDPR art. 6(1)(b).
What we keep instead
Nothing about the logo, and no account: there is no login, no history and no library. The only record of you is the payment, and it lives at Stripe rather than here. Twelve numbers about how the file was worked out travel with it — the width in millimetres, the technique, the thread count, the stitch and trim count, the thread length and how long the machine took. They are measurements, not your artwork: no image, no filename, no thumbnail. We use them to see which sizes are actually sewn, so the tool can be better at them.
When you pay
Payment runs on Stripe’s own page. Stripe receives your email, your card details and your country, and creates a customer record for the sale. We see the payment, the email and the country in Stripe’s dashboard; we never see the card. Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. is our processor for this, and their own privacy terms apply alongside these. When you buy a single file, a checksum of your artwork — a number, not a picture — is stored with the payment at Stripe, so the receipt unlocks the logo you paid for and nothing else. It cannot be turned back into your file.
How long the receipt is kept
Invoices and receipts are kept for five years, because Danish bookkeeping law requires it (bogføringsloven §12). That is the receipt — not your logo, which is already gone. The two are never the same thing, and this is the one place it matters.
The one cookie
One cookie, named kvittering, holds the number of your Stripe payment so the download knows it has been paid for. It measures nothing and follows nobody. It is strictly necessary for the service you asked for, so it needs no consent — and that is why this site has no cookie banner. It expires after 30 days.
No analytics, no trackers
There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, no third-party font and no external script anywhere on this site. Your browser is told so directly: the page is allowed to load from digitizing.app and nowhere else.
Hosting and email
The site runs on Cloudflare, who process your IP address in order to deliver and protect it. Mail to hello@digitizing.app is routed by Cloudflare and stored by Zoho. Where these providers process data outside the EU, they do so under the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Letters from us
We write to you about anything other than your receipt only if you ticked the box at checkout. That tick is recorded with your payment at Stripe, and one email to hello@digitizing.app takes it back — no reason needed, and nothing else changes.
Your rights
You may ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or erased, object to its use, or have it handed over in a portable form. Write to hello@digitizing.app. You may also complain to your national supervisory authority — in Denmark, Datatilsynet.
